LGV Driver Training Courses

DSA Theory & Hazard Perception Training (and arrangement of Tests. Note the DSA Test Centres require the two parts of your licence and the booking number of your test before they will allow you to take the test)

 

Driving Standards Agency regulations now require that individuals wishing to obtain commercial vehicle driving licences (categories: “D” & “C”) must successfully pass a Theory and Hazard Perception test, in addition to the practical driving test. Existing drivers that already hold a LGV Category “C” entitlement (HGV Class 2/3) are exempt from taking the theory test.

  • Blind Spots
  • Overtaking
  • Bad Weather Driving

 

Delivery: Classroom based theory sessions covering the above topics, reinforced by practice theory and hazard perception tests under simulated test centre conditions. Guided discussion following the practice theory and hazard perception tests to review candidate’s answers and results.

 

Duration: 1 day, normally delivered on weekdays, although weekend delivery can arranged subject to programme requirements.
