Our Distance Learning courses are based on a highly successful "Open Learning" formula, which provides for both self assessment questions and tutor-marked test papers, to give both yourself and this Company the best possible opportunity of evaluating your progress. A section is included in Unit 4 explaining how to tackle a Case Study together with appropriate examples.
Course Manuals are available for Units 1, 2 & 4 (National) and Unit 6 (International). The manuals are divided into Sections, each section covering one part of the OCR’s syllabus. All sections will be sent to you at the same time, so that you may work at your own speed. Additionally, each section is divided into “sessions” and after each session there will be a series of questions to which the answers are supplied. These are self-assessment questions, which enable you to judge your own progress.
All of our study material has been written by experienced, highly qualified lecturers in an easy to follow format, and is regularly updated.
In addition to the Case Study Guidelines, a Tutor Service Package is included in the cost of Unit 4. This constitutes a series of supplementary Test Papers, one covering each part of the Syllabus. The answers to these questions are not supplied, and after each completion of each section of the Manual, you will be asked to answer the appropriate test paper to the best of your ability and to send this to your tutor for marking.
This service has a dual advantage. As well as providing more “practice” in answering exam type questions, a "feedback sheet" is attached to each test paper. This may be used to highlight any difficulties you may have experienced, and your Tutor can add his helpful advice when returning your test paper with his assessment.
The cost of the basic Distance Learning Package includes Course Notes, self assessment questions and a specimen exam paper / case study. Please note that EXAM FEES are NOT included in the cost. You may, if you wish, purchase the Manuals one at a time.
We can also offer you the option of attending our intensive course in Stoke either for the final revision session (which takes place the Saturday (or Sunday) before the OCR’s exams, or the "Case Study Workshop" which is held the day before the exam.

The OCR’s exams are held quarterly, in March, June. September and December, and the next available exam dates are given on the Order Form which accompanies these details. Although you may study the whole of the CPC Syllabus at home, it will be necessary for you to take the examination itself at an authorized OCR exam centre. If you would like us to arrange for you to sit the exam at our centre in Stoke, please call us on 01782 771177. Alternatively, on request, we can supply you with details of any authorized exam centre close to you.
We are confident that you will find our Distance Learning Packages easy to follow. However, we offer an added safeguard. If after beginning your course you find that you would prefer to attend one of our intensive courses, you may transfer to an attendance course – for whatever reason – by paying the difference between the fees you have already paid for the Distance Learning Course, and the fees payable for an intensive course.
